URBAN PLANNING MASTER CONCEPT, FUKUYAMA City

In 2012, we put forward a master concept for Fukuyama city in Hiroshima, Japan, “FUKUYAMA VISION 2012”. Within this concept we introduce the idea “POST- INDUSTRY PARADOX. (Paradox of regional cities/ Industrial nature), which accepts the structural paradox that regional cities in Japan face. Agricultural Revolution 3.0”, and “IRON NATURE”.

How Far can the Artificial Intelligence in the future Understand Human?

We put forward “Artificial Intelligence & Inflammation” as a prognosis of artificial intelligence and singularity in the coming future.
With this idea as our basis, we are progressing projects under “GRADATIONISM”, which is a fundamental concept for AI research with a joint research with a corporate R＆D devision and education.

“THE DEATH OF THE ORDINARY CAR & THE ORIGIN OF MOVEMENT” / “MOVEMENT FOLLOWS THE INFORMATION”

In the research project, which explores the future of mobility-, facing a reduction usage for cars and the death of them, what come to be important are not the surfical issues(※), but the way of movement itself.-  we researched the reason why people need cars and why people move, and the definition of movement today. From there we put forward “INFOGRATION” dossier, which depicts the future vision of movement.
This dossier leads the conclusion that the movement and the quality of information defines the shape of every mobility (cars, bicycle, airplane, etc…) and even the city.

New archive model for institution’s which can handle “Big Data” and “Ancient Data” at the same time.

We put forward a new data archive model, “Modern Museology”.
As a measure, which connects the recent increasing attention towards the government’s utilization of big data and the depression of the governmental archive function, such as public museums, we are working on “Code for FUKUYAMA” in Fukuyama city in Hiroshima prefecture and “Encyclopedic TOKYO” in Daimaruyu area in Tokyo that employs this archive model.

Education aiming to cultivate a sensibility to accept complexity as it is.

In 2014, beginning with the script in the “Desport Project”, we put forward the fundamental educational concept “Gradation-ism”. This is an educational program, which aims to cultivate children’s comprehension of abstract things which accept complexity as it is.
ON Management, is developing a variety of education business with this fundamental concept. These are for example, method introduction on a daily and weekly basis, and sport-making products and workshops. We are currently working together with an International school under this practice as well. In Spring 2015, we are planning to establish a think tank of education based on this concept.

“Contour Cliff -Culture’s Cliff-”, a new possibility of territory, which the history of chaotic urban planning has produced.

t is a research project that operated a field work around Motomachi Station in Kobe city. We put forward “Contour Cliff (Culture’s Cliff)”, which is a new possibility of territory that we derived from capturing the complex gradation of culture interwoven with 4 cultural layers (enclave, China, black market, and Daimaru) generated by the chaotic history of urban plan.

New coexistence between human and nature.

In 2013, we put forward the concept “PLANT SCALE” within a renaissance project for a traditional hot spring hotel in Hakone that had closed down.
We are continuing with this renewal project working along with design offices and major construction companies.

Disconnected Archive that gathers video footages from all over the world.

We are working on video archive project called After the War, derived from the script/ concept called The third archive. The third archive is simply put, a tertiary archive / an archive that does not belong to anyone.

The importance and existence of the ultra thin data that miss to capture big data

We put forward the concept about big data, “Data for the other 90 ％” .
This concept holds the fundamental idea of our works in development of “gaux” and “TOUCH ENERGY” that were introduced by our joint research with DAIWA HOUSE INDUSTRY CO.,LTD in 2014 and other works we did with R&D institutions.

“Useful noise data”

We call the manner or the direction to make situations, which will normally be discarded into useful information as “Useful noise data”. For example, these include the moments that are passed without doing anything and situations where there are little dynamic information. Criteria like “sensitivity” and “sensor”, or “what is tried to be define” are put above data-analysis or IP(information processing). From dot to line/ Ultra thin moment / Non-dynamic condition / Censor / Useful noise data / Big Data/ SNS / GPS and others

Urban model which generates the new circulation of knowledge for the coming knowledge-oriented society.

In 2012, we put forward a vision and dossier, “CYCLOPEDIC CIRCULATION TOKYO 2030”, which was generated by overlooking how the Daimaruyu district in Tokyo should look like in 100 years.
We suggested a new model, “CYCLOPEDIC CIRCULATION” that generates new circulation of knowledge by city units, and prospected that a new occupation, “neo liberarian” born within this model will increase.
